xtendUtils is a multi function add-on that can be used to value and field checking, security for field changing as well as Automatic document creation (such as recurring billing) and Bulk distribution of documents.
The Add-On performs checking on defined fields to ensure the fields are filled with values. These fields include

When adding/updating a Master Item record, the Add-On will create combo boxes (drop down menus) for the Purchasing UOM value in the Purchasing Data tab and for the Sales UOM value in the Sales Data tab. The user can select (or enter) any one of the configured UOM values and the Add-On will ensure the validity of the entered value.
The Add-On will present the user with a screen to define specific search criteria for Items. The search criteria will include:
After specifying the search criteria, the user will commit the configuration and a single (user selected) property will be enabled by the Add-On. All items that falls into the selected criteria will have this property ticked. (All other items will not have this property ticked). When the selection process is complete, the user can then use this single property to enable creating of reports, search for items lists, etc.
The Add-On will allow any SBO Superuser to configure the access that SBO users have to warehouses in terms of transferring inventory. Each SBO user must be configured to allow the user to transfer inventory to a selected set of warehouses, from a selected set of warehouses. The warehouse security will be enforced in the Inventory Transfer screen. The Inventory Documents include Goods Receipts, Goods Issues and Inventory Transfers.
The Add-On will allow any SBO Superuser to configure the access that SBO users have to warehouses in terms of stock access for Marketing Documents. Inserting stock items by means of Purchasing Documents or extracting stock items by means of Sales Documents will be marshaled using the same setup as set in the Inventory Transfer. Thus only users with “From” capability for a specific warehouse will be allowed to post marketing documents that extract stock items from a specific warehouse. Similarly, only users with “To” capability for a specific warehouse will be allowed to post marketing documents that inserts stock items into a specific warehouse.
The Add-On adds the functionality to create automated documents in a certain time based cycle, from a document template. Sales Orders, Deliveries and A/R Invoices can be created using a Sales Quotation as the template for the document creation. The automatically created documents can be distributed by printing, faxing or e-mailing the documents. A combination of distribution mechanisms can be applied as well.
The Bulk Marketing Document Distribution functionality allows a user to quickly and easily distribute Marketing Documents in bulk, based on specific selection criteria.
A Document Selection Filter Screen allows for the document selection after which all relevant documents are loaded into a Selection Form that will consist of a grid displaying the relevant document information and allowing the user to select specific documents to include.
When selection is complete the user will select the distribution methods(s). By default the Add-On will reference the distribution method defined on the Business Partner Master Data (i.e. Email, Fax, Print), but the user will be able to override this by making a specific selection on the final screen.
